The pivot door rotates on a pivot box in the floor and the top jamb rather than traditional door side hinges. Andersen offers pivot doors up to 9 feet wide and up to 16 feet tall. These doors are ideal for large panels, have a cool contemporary vibe, and create unique opening architectures. Custom and standard sizes available.

What's It Made Of?

Aluminum Wood-Clad offers a robust aluminum sash with wood interior cladding. All aluminum door profiles are made with 6063 aluminum. All wood doors are also available.

Configurations

Both single and double pivots are available. Furthermore single or double doors can be combined with side lights or in a gang pivot configuration; which is multiple pivot doors in a row.

Single

Single pivot doors can be built to swing in, swing out or both. Our single pivot doors provide a seamless, streamlined look with smooth operation. Furthermore the door panels can be built much wider with overall square footage greater than a side-hinged door.

Double

Our double pivot doors (two doors side by side) are built to swing in, out, but not both. An Andersen double pivot door operates as two beautifully balanced panels that seems almost independent of their frame, and is a great choice for builders or homeowners that are looking for a greater indoor/outdoor connection, and a seamless, streamlined modern look.

Pivot Wall

A pivot wall configuration are multiple pivot doors in a row without jambs in-between panels. This configuration can be built as inswing or outswing.

Sizes

Aluminum Wood-Clad

Maximum panel height of 13', and has a maximum panel width of 5' with a single bottom rail, and this increases to 8' with double bottom rail.

The side stiles, top and bottom rail are all 3-1/2" wide with a sash thickness of 3-3/16".

Aluminum

Maximum panel height of 16', and has a maximum panel width of 6' with a single bottom rail, and this increases to 9' with double bottom rail.

The side stiles, top and bottom rail are all 3-1/2" wide with a sash thickness of 3-3/16".

All Wood

Maximum panel height of 12', and has a maximum panel width of 6' with a single bottom rail, and this increases to 8' with double bottom rail.

Low-E4 SmartSun™ Impact-Resistant Glass delivers the benefits of Low-E4 glass, plus it helps shield homes from the sun's heat and filters out 95% of harmful UV rays while letting the sunlight shine through.

Low-E4 Sun Impact-Resistant Glass is tinted for maximum protection from the effects of intense sunlight and provides all the benefits of Low-E4 glass.

High Performance Flush Sill

The high performance flush sill was engineered and tested to meet water penetration resistance up to 12.11 psf. The result is an award winning sill designed for ADA/FFFHA threshold requirements. Thermally broken version is also available.
